mattbraunger: nickkroll: I love John Mulaney. I love his new segment on SNL called “I Love it”. Here’s my own “Things no one has ever said”: “I don’t like John Mulaney.” Fuck, this is fantastic. SNL should be paying John in gold. I concur.

I'm Caring Less About College Football (Week 8)
Well, that happened.  Week 8 is in the books and the new BCS rankings are out.  I’ll be using them from now on, so this is the last week of AP rankings.  Here’s what happened. #1 Oregon beat UCLA 60-13. This was Oregon’s first game as a #1 team - even though it was just in the mangy human polls.  Darron Thomas decided he was an upgrade from Jeremiah Masoli and LSU probably...

I Care Too Much About College Football (Week 7)
Week 7 happened.  And I took to long to come out with this, so the BCS standings and the new AP rankings are already out.  October is when the national picture is supposed to become clear.  I don’t know if that’s true this year.  A lot of good teams lost and a lot of good players got hurt.  Let’s see what happened.                     #1 Ohio State LOST to #18 Wisconsin 31-18....

I Care Too Much About College Football (Week 6)
Hey, it’s Week 6.  And I watched even though Iowa had a bye.  And even without playing, I think they managed to lose.  They’re #15 now.  Wins by Michigan State, Stanford, Florida State and South Carolina over good teams could move them down a few slots.  And I’d say at least Arizona (and Florida) lost, but an Arizona loss is bad too.  Anyway, here’s what happened.   #1...

I Might Be On TV This Wednesday
Back in February, I hosted a show at the Hollywood Improv featuring a first-time comic.  Beforehand, I was told that a reality show would be taping and asked if it was okay with me.  I said it was.  The comic ended up being Harry Hamlin and the reality show ended up being “Harry Loves Lisa”, which is debuting on TV Land this Wednesday at 9/8 Central.   The show’s episode guide...

I Care Too Much About College Football (Week 5)
Hey, it’s Week 5.  Or it was.  Anyway, the weeding out process is beginning.  Week 5 had some big match-ups despite ranked teams like Nebraska, Utah, Arizona, Arkansas and South Carolina not playing.  And good unranked teams like, West Virginia, Missouri, Kansas State and Houston didn’t play either.  But let’s focus on who did play.  Just be happy that, for the time being, no Big...

It's October. Here Are My National League Award...
There are what, three games left?  And only two teams are in the playoffs already?  This one might be harder.  But here are my National League award winners. NL Rookie of the Year    This one is close.  If you didn’t pay attention to anything except for press, you might think Stephen Strasburg or Aroldis Chapman were the pitchers to beat, but it’s Jaime Garcia of the Cardinals,...

It's October. Here Are My American League Award...
AL Rookie of the Year Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers He might not be the most-hyped rookie this year.  But he also doesn’t have that much competition in the American League.  And his catch in the Armando Galarraga non-perfect perfect game is still one of the best plays of the year.     AL MVP    I guess it kind of comes down to how you feel about Josh Hamilton missing most of...
