Hey, it’s week 3. Did you see the Iowa-Pitt game? Seriously. Did you see that game? Your loss. Anyway, here’s what happened.
#1 Oklahoma beat #5 Florida State 23-13.
Okay, fine. Both teams are legit. I kinda had a hard time believing it after last year. EJ Manuel got hurt and FSU really doesn’t have a running game. And Landry Jones didn’t have that great of a game, but the Sooners pulled it off on the road.
#2 Alabama beat North Texas 41-0.
The difference between these two teams is that North Texas is shit and Alabama might have the best defense in the country. Them or LSU. Alabama also has Trent Richardson, who rushed for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns. And Eddie Lacy, who rushed for 161.
#3 LSU beat #25 Mississippi State 19-6.
Mississippi State had the most dominant rushing attack in the country going into this game. Then LSU told them to shut the fuck up. Who cares who the quarterback is right now? That defense is insane.
#4 Boise State beat Toledo 40-15.
Kellen Moore threw for 455 yards and 5 touchdowns. And this is the Toledo team that almost beat Ohio St… never mind. The running game might have problems down the line… like, in the national championship game or whatever.
#6 Stanford beat Arizona 37-10.
Andrew Luck threw for 325 yards. They have a pretty balanced offense and a good defense. They’re going to be tested, but not for a while. Oh, and Arizona has major problems.
#7 Wisconsin beat Northern Illinois 49-7.
Russell Wilson threw for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wilson + Ball + White = Juggernaut. Plus they have big fatsos on their offensive line. Possibly the Big Ten’s only legit team.
#8 Oklahoma State beat Tulsa 59-33.
Brandon Weeden threw for 369 yards and 3 TD. Joseph Randle ran for 128 and 3 TD. This was a weird one with a late start. So I don’t know if their defense sucks or what. We’ll find out next week against…
#9 Texas A&M beat Idaho 37-7.
Cyrus Gray had 3 touchdowns and 101 yards rushing. Ryan Tannehill had 337 yards passing and 3 TDs in under 3 quarters. I’m guessing they beat OSU.
